The nature and identity of this year calls for us to take certain Spiritual steps to make the most of the year. 2020 carries great opportunity for spiritual development and unimaginable spirit progress. The door-way to the spirit realm holds minimal resistance to the deliberate knocker. 2020 is the gate to a new decade. The gate-keepers require from you a spirit identity. You must get it or the decade won’t open to your destiny!
The very starting point in this quest is the five steps you have here. Whatever else we seek, let these five steps form the bedrock for the forward journey this year and into the decade.
1. Secure Your Soul
You must be aware that your precious soul is a primary target of the enemy. He would pay anything if you would let him have your soul! But what have we gained if we have the world but lose our soul?
Revelation 18:12, 13 reveals to us the sinister plans of the Prince of Darkness to merchandise the souls of men.Please your soul is priceless! Secure it with every Spirit resource at your disposal.Don’t sell your friend or children or any human being to make money! Those whodo such lose their soul eternally. Be careful what you receive and from where or whom you receive! Mind what you seek!
1 Samuel 24:11 talk of hunters of the soul. No doubt many will lose their souls in 2020 to either Soul Hunters or Soul Buyers. Who is your pastor?Who is your mentor? What do you seek, what do you want? The temporal must not take from you the eternal. Your soul is your most precious, priceless possession here on Earth. Please, secure it!
“Which hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and steadfast, and which entereth into that within the veil; Whither the forerunner is for us entered, even Jesus, made an high priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec.” Hebrews 6:19,20
This Anchor is God’s provision against soul loss! Hold tight to it! It is eternally secure on theother side, and as long as you don’t let go here, you will arrive home.
“O my soul, thou hast said unto the LORD, Thou art my Lord….” Psalms 16:2a
Yes, cry to Him who holds our souls in life. Let our souls be bound to the bundle of His life! (1Samuel 25:29)
2. Secure Your Family
How? By massive Prayer investment. That is what the Holy Ghost showed me. The same power that seek your precious soul is also very interested in the soul of your Home!. I am not surprised many homes are under such tremendous attack, but I am surprised that we offer such flimsy and weak resistance!
“Arise, cry out in the night: in the beginning of the watches pour out thine heart like water before the face of the Lord: lift up thy hands toward him for the life of thy young children…..” Lamentation 2:19
You know your part in the fight? Prayer! Take the Blood, sprinkle your Home with it. Set boundary between you and the destroyer by the Blood line.
“And ye shall take a bunch of hyssop, and dip it in the blood that is in the bason, and strike the lintel and the two side posts with the blood that is in the bason; and none of you shall go out at the door of his house until the morning.” Exodus 12:22
I am the Priest andthe Prophet of my Home. I am not about to allow the serpent anywhere near mytabernacle. The mistake of Eden can’t keep happening! I refuse that! I hold theSword of the Spirit and I keep watch at my gate by the grace of God and thestrength of the Holy Ghost. I take my stand and I won’t shift my position. Hewho stationed man to the Duty Post of the Home right from the Beginning is withme!
He has chargedme to Bless my Home. He assured me He will personally uphold my Word upon myHome. The enemy is no match here!
“And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying, Speak unto Aaron
and unto his sons, saying, On this wise ye shall bless thechildren
of Israel, saying unto them, The LORD bless thee, and keep thee:
The LORD make his face shine upon thee, and be gracious unto thee:
The LORD lift up his countenance upon thee, and give thee peace.
And they shall put my name upon the children of Israel; and I will bless them.”
Numbers 6:22-27
What is stopping you from doing this for your Home every day? The Blessing creates for our Home thekind of atmosphere that the enemy fears to approach!
Oh Lord, incline our hearts unto You.
Help us Lord, that we may stand perfect and
complete in all your Will for us.
So that our seed shall be known among the Gentiles,
and their offspring among the people: all that see them
shall acknowledge them, that they are the seed which the
LORD hath blessed.
(1 Kings 8:58, Colossians 4:12 and Isaiah 61:9) Amen!
3. Secure YourVision
It is traditional forus to talk of our goals and vision and plans for a new year. But I want todirect your attention to something quite different.
“The light of the body is the eye: therefore when thine eye issingle,
thy whole body also is full of light; but when thine eye is evil,thy body
also is full of darkness. Take heed therefore that the light whichis in thee
be not darkness.” Luke 11:34,35
Many of our goals andvisions are actually light that is darkness!
“Again, I considered all travail, and every right work,
that for this a man is envied of his neighbour. This is
also vanity and vexation of spirit.” Ecclesiastes 4:4
That is light that isdarkness. The light that is light indeed and the vision that we are called tosecure have to do with our eternal future! Of course we will continue to havegoals and plans, but that has to be inside of the true vision of life!
“By faith Abraham, when he was called to go out
into a place which he should after receive for an inheritance,
obeyed; and he went out, not knowing whither he went.
By faith he sojourned in the land of promise, as in a strange
country, dwelling in tabernacles with Isaac and Jacob, the heirs
with him of the same promise: For he looked for a city which hath
foundations, whose builder and maker is God.” Hebrews 11:8-10
“These all died in faith, not having received the promises,
but having seen them afar off, and were persuaded of them,
and embraced them, and confessed that they were strangers
and pilgrims on the earth. For they that say such things declare
plainly that they seek a country. And truly, if they had beenmindful
of that country from whence they came out, they might have had
opportunity to have returned. But now they desire a bettercountry,
that is, an heavenly: wherefore God is not ashamed to be calledtheir
God: for he hath prepared for them a city.” Hebrews 11:13-16
See the world aroundyou. What hope outside God? Human life upon Earth cannot be sustained muchlonger. Our vision must therefore transcend the present life!
“Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved,
what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation
and godliness, Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day
of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved,
and the elements shall melt with fervent heat? Nevertheless we,
according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth,
wherein dwelleth righteousness. Wherefore, beloved, seeing that
ye look for such things, be diligent that ye may be found of him in
peace, without spot, and blameless.” 2 Peter 3:11-14
I look for suchthings! This is the vision we are called to secure. Nothing must becloud you onthis!
“And the Lord direct your hearts into the love of God,
and into the patient waiting for Christ.” 2 Thessalonians 3:5

4. Secure YourFire
If you allow yourpassion for God and the things of God to go cold, you are joking with satan. Orif your relationship with God has never been a passion and a fire, you aretoying with eternal darkness! It is that hard and I cannot mellow it! The daysare evil, the times are perilous! Happenings around us in these last days willbe such that interest in God and the real things of God will be lost in many. Peoplewill hold religious beliefs that have no Fire to it. They will hold a form ofgodliness whose power has been neutralized. Sin will be tolerated. Errors willbe celebrated. Iniquities will be explained away. What God hates will becomehuman passion. The Church and the world will get married and produce manyoffspring of demons!
Your personalsecurity against all this hangs on your fire for God! Fire of holiness that noice of sin can withstand. Fire of love that has fear for God. Fire of Faith andof Hope that God’s eternal counsel for man and for the Earth is coming to itsfulfilment!
“O God, thou artmy God; early will I seek thee: my soul
thirsteth for thee,my flesh longeth for thee
in a dry and thirstyland, where no water is
…my soul followethhard after thee: thy right hand upholdeth me.”
Psalms 6:1,8
“As the hart pantethafter the water brooks, so panteth my soul
after thee, O God. Mysoul thirsteth for God, for the living God:
when shall I come andappear before God?”
Psalms 42:1,2
“My soul longeth, yea, even fainteth for the courts of the LORD:
my heart and my flesh crieth out for the living God.” Psalms 84:2
That is fire! That ispassion! Not for things but for God Himself! Such fire must be sustained withus as we run this race of time. The night is coming. You will not be able toborrow oil or share fire. It has to be set in place now, and maintained hot tothe end! (Matthew 25:1-13)
“The fire shall ever be burning upon the altar;
it shall never go out.” Leviticus 6:13

5. Secure HisPresence
“And he said unto him, If thy presence go
not with me, carry us not up hence.” Exodus 33:15
Those who arefoolishly bold can actually journey without God. Judas did that and ended ineternal darkness! Why commit same error where alternative has been provided. Ichoose the way of the Lord!
Securing God’sPresence in our destiny journey rests upon two pillars. The first is Sacrificeof Praise, and the second is Intercession. Let meexplain these:
“Whoso offereth praise glorifieth me…” Psalms 50:23a
The word “offereth” inthe verse literally translates to: “he that sacrifices”. The kindof praise we are looking at here is the “sacrifice type”. Praisethat is offered as sacrifice. And it is this type that God inhabits!
“But thou art holy, O thou that inhabitest
the praises of Israel.” Psalms 22:3
When Praise is asacrifice, Jehovah inhabits it. He comes into it and His Presence stays withthe one who offers the sacrifice! Unending praises as sacrifice unto our Kingis a must for us in this journey.
“Whoso offereth praise glorifieth me…” Psalms 50:23a
The response of Godto this is His Presence in the life of the one who brought to Him such qualitysacrifice! But what makes praise a sacrifice? Three things: The time at whichit is offered, the content of the praise, and the attitude of our heart and ourmind and our Body while the praise is offered!
“As they ministeredto the Lord, and fasted, the Holy Ghost said”
Acts 13:2a
What of Intercession? Yes, that is the second pillar! The true Intercessor actually lives in God. He is in thePresence! We know that intercession is not possible outside of the Holy Ghost.For He is the One that “holds together with us” as we enterinto the awesome arena of intercession. He is present continually.
The very arena of intercession is thePresence of the Lord: the court room where the Judge of all has taken His seat.By taking up this office through the grace He offers us, we become dwellers inHis Presence. No better way to secure the Presence of our God!
“And whiles I was speaking, and praying, and confessing my sin and
the sin of my peopleIsrael, and presenting my supplication before
the LORD my God forthe holy mountain of my God;
Yea, whiles I was speaking in prayer, even the manGabriel, whom
I had seen in the vision at the beginning,being caused to fly swiftly,
touched me about thetime of the evening oblation.”
Daniel 9:20,21
